I work in a small office taking care of many different tasks. Really I do whatever needs to be done around here to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. One of the best perks is the ground level outside patio/ garden filled with trees, small bushes and lots of flowers in the warmer months. It also has traditional, rustic outdoor log furniture made from white cedar. I was told that because this outdoor furniture is made entirely from Northern White Cedar, it naturally repels insects and withstands all types of weather. Additionally, the quality cedar outdoor furniture will last about 15 to 20 years outside, weathering to a soft silver grey if left unfinished. It obviously has been there for a while since it is silver grey. My favorite piece of the garden / patio furniture is called a glider. It’s actually built like a bench and you can push against the ground with your feet (like a swing) and it glides back and forth. I like to eat my lunch on one of the cedar log garden benches and then shift over to the glider for a while as I ponder whatever problem has arisen that morning with this or that website. Very zen!
I do not have a lot of experience working with building or maintaining websites. I have not really done any previous work on websites & would not have the slightest idea where to start. I did however have a crash course in word press recently. My boss sat me down, asked me about the experience level in this type of stuff & I explained it was very minimum. He said he would be happy to show me a thin or 2 & promised that it would not be too difficult. I agreed because I have always enjoyed learning new things when I get the chance plus knowing everything involved with the business makes me invaluable to the company.
It did not take long for him to introduce me to the system & get me working on updating sites. I had a bit of a learning curve. You know a period of time which I really did not get a lot accomplished but allowed me to look over the site & let the new information sink in. Once I got down to business I seemed to get more & more fluid at the process. I have been doing it for about a week & a half now. It seems like a second nature. I know that I am not fully capable of creating & maintaining the websites alone but every day I think I learn more & more. I do not see any reason why I will not know the entire process soon & be able to take care of it from front to back.
